Really enjoyed this. A lot more than I thought I would. Not seen the original in a long long time so can't comment on any comparison. All I can say is plenty of blood, guts, gore and genuine scares to keep any horror fan amused for 90 minutes.

Lets be honest. RDJ could stand in front of blank screen for 2 hours reading a newspaper and as long as he was wearing the suit, I'd still watch it and love it.

Nothing is sacred in this installment. Every topic from paedophilia to miscarriage is covered in the typical Saw way. Is it a cutting edge social commentary? No, its for people who aren't quite confident enough to try a snuff film.

the one constant of the Saw films remains; shoddy straight to video style acting. The guy who plays Hoffman must've attended the same acting school as Keanu Reeves, Taylor Lautner and Sam Worthington. More wooden than a 2x4.
