as every bit as vile as expected and more. This is a disgraceful, hatful piece of racist propaganda and I don't buy for one minute that Griffith was innocent and didn't really know it would be so offensive. That being said this film is a masterpiece and clearly lays the bedrock of modern American cinema with its style and vision. However, nothing can ever convince me of the fact that this film is a hateful piece of racist filth.
