My first rewatch of this since I think the theater, and overall it was as I remembered it: better than the crappy reputation it has. It does borrow even more heavily from the Mad Max series (particularly Thunderdome) than I recalled, but on the flip side Dennis Hopper was much more enjoyable than I remembered and a very entertaining villain.
