Decalogue VI. ★★★★

I was so relieved this ended the way it did. Not exactly a happy ending, but at least room for one. They could become friends, learn from their mistakes, etc. There are a couple of real downers in this cycle--#5 was definitely one of them, so I needed this one to be a little more hopeful and it was, even if only a little. However, after I watched #8 (I've still got 9 and 10 to go) I felt a little better about all of them, because 8 gave me a better sense of where Kieslowski's coming from. A lot of tension in this one! Excellent filmmaking, but tiring!
