I always enjoy a noble impersonation story, especially The Prince and the Pauper and The Prisoner of Zenda. This is the best I've ever seen.

From the director of Dil Se, which I loved, we have an early effort which is a South Indian classic. It was really long with a surprising number of dances and crazy lighting which evidently wwas very influential. However, I enjoyed it.

Great acting, costuming, staging ... but I just don't care about epic tragic love affairs if there's nothing more to it than that. I'm just saying - this was no Jodhaa Akbar. It didn't help that my sympathies were with Kashi, the first wife, from the beginning. Priyanka Chopra was enormously appealing.
