Abacus Finch’s review published on Letterboxd :
Lighting the beacons is easily one of the best sequences to ever appear on film. Everything about it is so -right-. While the ending does feel long, I always surrender myself to that tired sensation. It's like slowly slipping into sleep, which is helped by the metronomic eb and flow of The Grey Havens music that mirrors water lapping the shore.
It's a wonderful experience and I long for the day when I can rewatch them in the cinema; hopefully without any of the 3D trappings that the Star Wars saga suffered on its own re-release. I have faith in you, Peter Jackson.
