Haywire 2012
I thought this was a really good movie. The fight sequences are great (the fight with Michael Fassbender was fantastic), the chases are very well-done, and I just love the way it's shot. I'd watch more movies like this with Gina Carano in them, for sure. She'd only get better. I had no idea the cast was so stacked, either.

Cruel Intentions 1999
Rewatching this movie now, it's almost comical how bad Selma Blair is in this... Also, The Kiss is significantly lamer than it was when I was in college. :)

The Bourne Ultimatum 2007
Not a bad movie; not a great movie either, really. Something just seemed off with this. Picking up immediately where "Supremacy" left off was a bit odd, as that particular piece of timing really wasn't necessary for the story. There just wasn't anything about this that hooked me.

The Hangover 2009
A movie that completely caught me off guard with its greatness when I saw it in the theaters, and a movie that never gets old on repeated viewings. This is an all-time classic comedy.

The Bourne Identity 2002
One of the better spy thrillers out there; Matt Damon's a pretty convincing action star, and other than the ridiculous stairwell stunt as he's escaping the safehouse at the end it's a down-to-Earth movie. Solid all around.

Piranha 2010
An absolutely terrible and ridiculous killer fish movie with some completely insane gore effects. It's pretty amazing that this movie has the cast that it does -- Richard Dreyfuss, best actor Oscar; Elisabeth Shue, best actress nomination -- even though Dreyfuss is only a cameo. It's crazy -- because this is a horrendous movie. Jerry O'Connell obviously has the time of his life chewing up every scene he's in, which is entertaining to watch; his death scene is hilarious. This movie's worth watching for Kelly Brook and the gore effects, and for really no other reason.

The Green Hornet 2011
Man, I know there's a lot of hate for this movie, but I thought it was incredibly fun. Seth Rogen is hilarious, Jay Chou is a great Kato, the villain dispatchings are really cool. I just loved it. It's not a great movie by any means, but it's not like it's trying to be a great movie; it's just bad-guy punching with cool gadgets and awesome cars. Totally worth seeing.

The Losers 2010
A perfectly fine, perfectly ridiculous action movie. Chris Evans is great; it's getting to the point that he's enough to make me watch a movie.

ParaNorman 2012
Completely blown away by this movie. It's not remotely what you'd expect going in -- it's not one of those "kids" movies that has just enough double entendres and pop culture references from the '80s and '90s to keep adults interested. This is an incredibly dark movie about being a misunderstood kid that's probably OK to take your kids to see. I left Studio Laika's previous release, "Coraline," after having been completely engrossed in it as a visual spectacle wrapped…

The Italian Job 2003
Probably my favorite heist movie of all time, and that includes the Clooney Ocean's 11 remake. There's just nothing about this movie to not love. Great cast; great heists. It's just awesome.
