A visually impressive film from frequent guilty pleasure director Russell Mulcahy, TALE OF THE MUMMY suffers from pretty some dated CGI. One scene involving some crows even reminded me of BIRDEMIC: SHOCK AND TERROR. But like Mulcahy's most enjoyable films, it keeps a great pace and has a twist at its climax that left my jaw on the floor. I won't dare spill it.
