28 Days Later... 2003
My all-time favorite zombie movie. Brilliantly directed by Danny Boyle. Cillian Murphys transformation from gentle survivor to feral predator is too much fun.

4192: The Crowning of the Hit King 2010
Insightful look into the career of baseballs hit king, "Charlie Hustle." I found out a lot about a legend that I hardly knew anything about, like how important his relationship with his father was. If you consider yourself a baseball fan, this is a must-see documentary.

Back to the Future 1985
If I were to be stranded on a desert island for the rest of my life, and allowed to bring only one film with me, Back to the Future would be the one.

Bad Lieutenant 1992
One of, if not, Harvey Keitels best performance. Gritty and bleak but engaging. Worth a watch if you're a fan of the "crime-drama" subgenre (where Keitel always seems to be at his best).

Be Kind Rewind 2008
A feel good movie with a metric ton of imagination and heart.

Better Off Dead... 1985
One of the most underrated teen comedies of the 80s. Quirky, odd, pitch-black, and most importantly, funny!

Certified Copy 2010
Reminiscent to Before Sunset/After Sunrise with a twist that will leave you questioning what was real and what was a charade. Tuscany provides a gorgeous backdrop, just as France did for Before Sunset, and Mark Shimell is a revelation. Binoche is spectacular again.

Delicatessen 1992
What a bizarre and wonderful little film! A must-see if you're a fan of pitch-black humor.

Drive 2011
There aren't enough superlatives in the dictionary to adequately explain my thoughts on this dazzling film. Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it's definetly my favorite film of 2011. It's a simple enough premise, a Hollywood stunt-driver by day and getaway driver for hire by night gets caught up in a tangled web of deception and villainy. The beauty here lies in the execution. Nicolas Windig Refn finally hits his stride, and he does so on all cylinders.…

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets 2002
Let me preface this by saying I have seen all 8 Harry Potter films and enjoyed them all to various degrees before reading a single page of the books. I have now been persuaded to read the books so I decided that after each book I finish, I am going to rewatch the film. Much like the first film which was also directed by Chris Columbus, 'Chamber of Secrets' is extremely loyal to the book, almost to a fault. The…

I Love You, Man 2009
One of my all-time favorite comedies. Rudd and Segel are magic together.
"Slap a da bass!"
