  There are a number of titles which sound interesting, although my enthusiasm is tempered by my automatic equating of "Gala Presentation" with "sponsor-friendly, accessible mainstream entertainment or middlebrow prestige fare". I imagine that Argo is going to be the big opening weekend gala and a hot ticket. Interested in Looper, though I feel I ought to see Brick and The Brothers Bloom first; I embarrassingly haven't seen either. (It also opens commercially relatively soon thereafter, fwiw.)

  How about yourself -- what has piqued your interest in this lineup, if anything?

  Looper would be one of my pick, I usually don't watch too many Galas, since they will come out eventually. Surprised that you haven't seen Brick and The Brothers Bloom. I am not a big fan of Brick but did like The Brothers Bloom.
