Leighton Trent’s review:
I wish there were a single word to describe how awesome this movie is. I humbly regret getting to it here seven years after it was released (and owning it for most of those). Black's dialogue roars through its running time, giving every character time to shine, and every single gag, over the top joke or line works because the set-up Black has given us has a solid foundation to work with. His breaking of the fourth wall, the narrating, is wonderfully kitsch, especially the final "scene." Though most credit Iron Man as Robert Downey, Jr.'s career rebirth, it seemed more so to start here. Harry gave birth in some ways to Tony, I have a feeling.
I really liked this when I saw it a bunch of years ago, and I would guess that I'd like it even more now. I gotta rewatch
It felt like one of those that would only get better with repeat viewings.
I'm definitely sticking this on my re-watch list, thanks to this review.
