Steve James continues his extraordinary documentary work with a passion project on the black-on-black violence within inner city Chicago. His juxtaposition of the three "Violence Interrupters"'s work and their own personal lives/demons is a perfect character study apparatus for a documentary; simple, yet effective in showing who each of these three people are and why the put themselves on the line in such a dangerous place.
