I like rom-coms more then most people I know, though I don't see many of them, considering how much crap there is out there in the genre. This is definitely one of the better ones, but still has some flaws. The actors are all very good, and fun, and the central conceit is well handled, but the last third did kind of fall apart for me, and the last 15 minutes is essentially quite similar to When Harry Met Sally in some respects, but done no where near as well.

Obviously due to the cast it's gonna get a lot of comparisons to Bridesmaids which I have to say I enjoyed quite a bit more. Bridesmaids did have some moments where the gross out comedy really didn't work for me, but when it was funny it really was, while this had neither the highs or lows of that film, instead just kind of floating down the middle in both respects. Jennifer Westfeldt did show a lot of promise though, and I hope she goes on to better things.
