I'm going to be frank here - the only reason (and I mean, the ONLY reason) I have given this a two star rating is because of the presence of Nathan Fillion and Ellen Page. Were these two not in the movie (heck, if Nathan Fillion wasn't in the movie), I would probably give it half a star at best. Put simply - I did not enjoy this film.
What I thought would be another average-Joe-decides-to-turn-superhero film a la Kick-Ass turned out to be a whole mess of wtf. It's not that it was a bad movie, per se, so much as the fact that all the weird (and I mean WEIRD - tentacle porn brain rape, anyone?) completely buried whatever other merits the film may have had. Given the cast, I just expected a whole lot more from this than it managed to deliver. Unless you're the kind of person who will watch anything with Nathan Fillion purely because he's Nathan Fillion, I would strongly recommend staying far, far away.
