The Shadow 1994

Amy Van Gar’s review:
I genuinely like this film and have a big soft spot for it. I initially mocked it, but it is just so silly and fun that it just won me over.
The campy film noir setting is spot on, I love the art deco elements and oddly fake looking sets and buildings - it surprisingly works. The acting and dialogue are often stilted but it adds to the melodramatic 40s tone that runs throughout. Alec Baldwin gets to play the suave and dashing hero while running around in a tuxedo, it's undeniably great.
Is this film a cult classic? It should definitely be considered as one.
