I don't care what anyone says, I really like this movie. Obviously it isn't Spielberg's best, but its refreshing seeing him do something so different from his past films, while still retaining his signature emotional touch. Also, Hanks, Tucci, Jones, and everyone else in the film are really good.

Although I appreciate it more than I like it, there is no denying its influence and iconic status. Though it is dated and not as scary as it would be when it was first released, it is still thrilling and entertaining.

They did it. The script is smart and funny, and the action is great. But what really makes the film is how it balances all the characters. This is a true ensemble; everyone works together and no one outshines the others. Maybe there are a few problems, but that doesn't matter. This movie is great fun.
