I didn't care for the last part and found myself slightly underwhelmed by Javier Bardem. But perhaps that's because he was so incredible in No Country for Old Men and I just can't see past that.

I've never seen the musical and had no idea what the story was about aside from having seen the trailer. That said, the film was definitely true to its title; just when you think things are starting to look up, there's another tragedy. Many parts of the story were too far-fetched - anything remotely comedic like Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen's characters just felt out of place. However, Tom Hooper does a wonderful job with directing and the cast is spectacular. The two characters that truly stood out for me were Eponine, who is absolutely heartbreaking, and Gavroche (the street urchin).

Nothing particularly special and focused almost entirely on the trains rather than the characters, but entertaining and fast-paced.

Kristen Stewart brought a new kind of strength to Snow White. I enjoyed it, despite the unsatisfying ending.
