  • The Company You Keep 2013

    ★★½ Watched 18 May, 2013

A great film about the renegades of an underground protest group from the 70's who are in hiding due to a killing of a bank guard at a hold up. Redford gets some great performances from his cast Julie Christie, Susan Sarandon, Nick Nolte and Richard Jeankins ....the one important role so miscast was Shia Labeouf....annoying little shit who just whines and pouts through 2 hours of complicated drama.

  • The Guilt Trip 2012

    ★★½ Watched 18 May, 2013

Typical stereotype of the meddling Jewish Mom played by Streisand to son Rogen. The chemistry with the two is actually sweet and their are some sweet and tender moments. It has been done many times and it is good to see Streisand back on screen. I personally think one of Streisands biggest strengths is her comic timing ( WHAT"S UP DOC will prove me right with that all the time). Okay if u want light and fluffy...if not watch Pineapple Express.

This is true art. Argo fuck yourself Academy for ignoring the best director of the year. Affleck shows us he has really come into his own as a filmmaker and gives us a spellbinding film . The intensity of the last 15 minutes is brutal for the audience...we watch as the operation unfolds and the Iranians are literally one step behind them...its done with remarkable precision on Afflecks part. Mr. Affleck not only gives one of his finest performances ,…

Love is a complicated thing...we are witness to the beautiful love affair between an octogenarian couple Georges and Anne. They attend an event with a concerto pianist who as a child was taught by Anne and now is world famous pianist.
We see in the beginning shot the audience at this recital for a few moments, so as the viewer we are the audience for this showcase of life between Georges and Anne.
This film will hit home with anyone…
