Every bit as good as the first film in the rebooted series. The decision to focus squarely on the dynamic, the friendship, between Kirk and Spock was well done and both Pine and Quinto played their parts exceptionally well.

I entered this film with admittedly lofty expectations.This was the single most ambitious film since Watchmen, and six times the story to tell. I was also admittedly worried. Such a lofty task could easily crash and burn, as Watchmen nearly did. However, even I could not have guessed what it is that I spent three hours watching.
