Had no idea I was going to see the film as it was the surprise screening for this year's SF International Film Festival. The flick truly was a "surprise" in that I thought I'd not enjoy it (Radnor reminds me a bit at times of fellow "actor/director" Zach Braff - 'nough said) but actually walked away quite enthused.
Thankfully, Radnor's character isn't a clone of Ted Mosby and the supporting cast does a hell of a job. I didn't think much of Zac Efron before this film but his cameo stole the film for me.
Ultimately, while completely predictable the film is a lot of fun.
Wow. Just wow. Never saw the film when it was originally released but the homages in HOT FUZZ had me intrigued. Finally watched it over the weekend and had my jaw on the floor pretty much the whole time. The added benefit of seeing it 9 years late was recognizing people like Michael Shannon in some of the smaller roles.
