Artyficial’s review:
Even though i've yet to read the books i suspect that there's something in the textual qualities of the gonzo style that makes them untranslatable to film. I hope the books paint a bigger and richer picture of Thompson's thoughts and what he was trying to achieve - and don't just go on and on about the effects of drugging yourself out of your mind.
The book is a lot better. More descriptive.
More about their search for 'the american dream'.
It's seriously good.
I've got fear and loathing in america on the bookshelf right here next to me. It's been tempting me for a while. Have to wait till im in the mood for private correspondence though.
