Aubrey Hansen’s review:
This Disney classic is definitely skippable - I almost didn't get past the opening sequence (the music style was annoying me). While the morals of this film are fairly decent (true heroism and self-sacrificial love), the film has several flaws which ruin the experience. Not counting the mythology (which is a given), there's crude humor, immodesty, and an overbearing amount of suggestive, flirty romance. Unlike many Disney classics, this film doesn't have any particularly memorable music or especially stunning animation to give it some charm. Overall, it's mostly flash and goofy humor with no lasting meat.
