I've not read any of these books. If you take this as a stand-alone film without getting all hissy about the mis-casting, it's really not such a terrible film, you know.

Enjoyed it even more the second time and could watch a few times more.

There are a couple of real, laugh-out-loud moments in this script, delightfully delivered by a wonderfully endearing cast. Am I trite enough to say "it's no Eric"? Apparently, I am.

It had a story. It was fun. It was colourful and a bit sing-y.
