McConaughey back in the game after trapped in a bunch of romcoms and action comedies. It was well written, has a solid cast, and well directed. Although offered nothing twisty, some turns were enough to solidified The Lincoln Lawyer. By the end, it was a well told and intriguing court room drama.

It has unique tone and style. Although, at some part, I felt like watching a well-polished B-Movie due to the lack of depth in the plot. The main concern about this movie is Gina Carano herself. Yes, she's good at kicking ass, but she needs to fix the way she act and add more depth into it. Plus, a lil' charisma won't do no harm. A brave experiment from Soderbergh by putting her in the lead, and it's not paid well. Although now, I'm curious with The Girlfriend Experience.
