Not sure what country this is from. Clearly there was only a small budget. But it was a great and true story about three German pilots and two English who must trust each other in order to survive the untamed Norweigan wilderness.
The script is a bit stiff but the character progression and the performances (particularly from Rupert Grint) are amazing.
The December Project Movie 45:
I hear a lot of stick for this movie, but I really enjoy it. One of Will Smith's best performances, in a story that feels like an alternate Superman. Instead of this goody goody avenger of justice, there is a drunk, rude careless man, with a much sadder, darker story.
It is an interesting, and essentially a realistic superhero story, with some nice comic relief, usually from Jason Bateman.
I never would have expected Arien Brody to be taking on an Arnold Schwarzenegger role. The tough, gruff mercenary. And there is a bunch of side characters that are only there to die.
The action is good, the whole film feels like a homage to the original, what with it being set in a jungle and everything.
I was hoping Danny Trejo would have a bigger role, but I guess I have to make do with Topher Grace instead...because they're pretty much the same.
