When I first started reading the Gone Girl book six months ago I couldn't stand the characters so gave up on it. But once I knew the actors playing the characters in the film I was willing to give it another go. I read the book in no time and loved the plot. It was still quite hard to like the characters, however I can see now that they were in the breakdown of a marriage and were totally jaded…
My mum had told me this was a great movie years ago and I now see why. it starts with an amazing scene in which Alex Cross loses his police partner, and then goes on to show the horrible murder of a teacher and the kidnapping of a student. I was quite shocked at how aggressive the scenes were, but their uniqueness lured me in.
Morgan Freeman has always been a favourite; he's just good in everything. I wasn't as…
This was a fun romp! Of course the story is completely outrageous, but that's the appeal of this movie. I loved the film's version of Lancelot and thought Ben Stiller as the caveman was classic! The monkey is super cute too. The only thing that really annoyed me was the tablet of Ahkmenrah because it looked like it was made of foam. Robin William's lines at the end of the film are a bit spooky given what happened to him. I felt emotional listening to him.
The next instalment in the "Summer" franchise, I watched it right after the first film. Freddie Prinze Junior is still swoonsome and Jennifer Love Hewitt has better hair this time around. Brandy overacts a tad as does her partner, but they add a new element to this tale. As watchable as the first movie as you wait to see who will survive, and quite a surprising twist at the end, which gave the story kudos in my eyes. A classic teenage film that has lasted the distance.
