Zero Dark Thirty 2012
This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Boy Wonder 2010
I'd never even heard of this movie until it popped up as people I follow had watched it (thank you letterboxd) and I'm pleased it did. It's not the greatest movie ever made and yes it has it's flaws, but the cenbtral character is written fantastically and his performance is pretty good too. It deals with the morality surrounding the choices he makes and the situation he's in fantastically and the ending is strong and follows the tone of the…

Stardust 2007
I'm not proud of giving this movie 5 stars.
Watching this film in the first place is arguably one of the least manly things I've ever done. But this movie is near flawless.
It's the Princess Bride of this generation. A great adventure story with a bit of silliness thrown in. The dead brothers and De Niro are particular comedy highlights, but there are great turns in this by just about everyone who appears on screen.
A surprisingly very good movie that I would recommend to anybody

Ted 2012
I re-watched this today having brought it on Bluray and gave it an extra half a star. This movie is genuinely funny throughout, though a pre existing appreciation of Seth MacFarlane is probably helpful when gauging your own potential levels of enjoyment. It's too predictable a story to ever truly get full marks, but this could have been a train wreck and it was far from it.

White Men Can't Jump 1992
That one missing star is pretty much down to Rosie Perez

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 2012
This was fantastic. Not just, for a cartoon fantastic, but genuinely gripping and entertaining throughout fantastic.
I didn't have high hopes having watched the Avengers animated movies, but this is a great watch. The voice performances are spot on and the story is great.
I enjoyed the recent Dark Knight trilogy very much, but this is an equally entertaining alternative to "Rises".
Very much looking forward to Part 2

Gone In Sixty Seconds 2000
It's just.... I hate Nicholas Cage so much, I can't get beyond his terrible performance.

Paranormal Activity 4 2012
1 was poor
2 was worse
3 was surprisingly entertaining and seemed to benefit from its retro period
4 was just terrible.
Why was she filming pointless conversations? Why did she set up all those lap tops and not watch any footage? What happened to weird boy 1? Why was the scariest thing in this movie a cat entering shot?
Just terrible. -
The Muppets 2011
If you watched this film and it didn't make you smile or laugh, it's too late for you. You're already dead.
One criticism, why did Jack Black need 2 roles? I'm sure if they could have gotten a better host.
