Letterboxd — Your life in film

Kubrick's last film is a thought-provoking examination of the place of sex, money, and power in modern society. While it was not the experience I had expected from the director, it maintained a profound visceral impact with plenty of symbolic detail and room for interpretation.

Satisfying visuals and good production quality, but suffers from flat characters and limited setting. Also, the movie premise didn't feel like it logically earned the powerful and established sci-fi tropes which it called upon.
