Zed’s review:
Kind of like GARDEN STATE for grown-ups ... Middle-aged white guy goes back to family home to sort his life out, meets a quirky girl who shakes him out of his funk and makes him want to be a better man. An hour of "fish out of water" doing stuff that he never does later and it's all wrapped up in a neat way ... All that said - it is beautifully played and Binoche is effortlessly charming and it's surprising having seen this that she doesn't do more "mainstream" turns in America. I'm a well-known sucker for these cookie-cutter white-boy-life-crisis films and this one is no different ... Very gentle and family friendly (it's a PG rated film) but there's enough genuinely funny and charming moments to keep a wry smile on your face throughout.
