Figured id add something seeing as this is my first new 5* after joining letterboxed.
A bleak, nihilistic picture where maincharacter has nothing going for him... He's divorced, gambles and drinks, and when he gets home at night he plays with his computer that he bought for loanshark money. Added to it he have failed for ~20 years to get a job promotion.
I found the direction to be very subtle... The pacing is perfect (fits very well with the amazing soundtrack), everything takes it's time to unfold and eventually culminate.
Would make a nice triplebill with 'A Pool Without Water' and 'The Beast to Die'...
