Despite some quite impressive set-pieces and great cinematography, the film is hampered by lackluster performances and a plot that makes little sense. It's quite a good idea for a film, and it's not clear exactly where it goes wrong as much of it is well done, but it's somehow flat, making it hard to care about the characters or situations. Still, not entirely without merit.
