I like how the film picks up the story elements from Batman Begins and manages to create some kind of closure with this installment. Performance-wise Heath Ledger's Joker cannot be topped anyway. Nolan doesn't even try to go that way, but creates a worthy (if a bit convoluted at times) finale instead.
