Picture Day 2013
bland. run of the mill. trite.

The Paperboy 2012
I had no idea what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised by everything about this film. The sound, the cinematography, the story. It was wild and all over the place. Very sleazy, dark, and very John Waters. I highly recommend it.

Upstream Color 2013
I went in not knowing one thing about this film and while it was very interesting and beautiful to look at, it was also slow. Not in the terrible Cosmopolis sense, but art film slow.
After watching it I am very conflicted. I do not know where I stand on this film. I don't think I understood any of it, and I don't know if I would watch it again to gain further insight. I don't think I would say it is a bad film...I am just lost. I do not know how I feel about this one.

Better Than Something: Jay Reatard 2012
Excellent, compelling, and touching. A great farewell tribute to Jay Reatard.

Mortal Kombat 1995
While it is very campy now that I am an adult, my childhood nostalgia was full throttle, and it is still a fun, not to serious film to watch.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows 2011
Better than I expected.

To Live and Die in L.A. 1985
Interesting plot points, Willem Dafoe, and a sweet Wang Chung soundtrack

World's Greatest Dad 2009
I was wary ab out this film because I detest God Bless America, but this was quite an enjoyable film. It was hilariously dark and it was quite an emotional film with a very good job from Robin Williams. Goldthwait's comment on the phoniness of people hopping on the sorrow bandwagon was very well done. Very interesting plot and very well executed.

Anticipation of the Night 1958
My Absolute favorite Brakhage film. Amazing!

Igor and the Lunatics 1985
I watched this because one of my coworkers was the Assistant Cameraman/extra actor in it...and while it holds up to the schlocky, troma standard I have to say the worst part of this terrible film is that its just boring.
