I didn't buy it. The real impact of the film pivots on a plot device for which I was unable to suspend my disbelief. But then, I'm not into horror films.

Once Upon a Time in the West 1969
This is amazing. It is no easy thing to make long, slow sets of closeups come off without getting boring. The pacing, music and cinematography are all gorgeous. Possibly the best Western I have ever seen, and yes, that includes the Dollars Trilogy.

On this viewing - I've seen the film several times - I came to suspect that the subject matter is less the occult imagery and the quest for immortality and more the persistent distractions of the crude, myopic crowds.
