I do like court room drama's once in a while and to have RD and RDj together in a movie you would expecf a good un.
I was waiting for Billy Bob Thornton to get fed up and shoot the entire cast in court after seeing him in the excellent TV show 'Fargo'.
It's the pace of this movie that lets it down, at least half an hour could of been chopped out.
The acting is top notch and Downey…
From 'Taken' onwards, Liam seems to be the leader of action heroes tracking down vilians here and there. Best of all, after his scary performance threating a kidnapper down a mobile phone it seems every film he makes wants him to do the exactly the same thing.
The film Trailers with Liam have him on a mobile examples...Taken,Taken 2,Unknown,Non Stop etc, maybe he has an contract for himself to do this kind of work.
In Tombstones I was waiting patiently…
When these guys were young at school everything was flipping hilarious. Every character had a different personality that made someone out there like them.
Now these guys are grown ups they still act like the kids they were years ago.
The first movie had some funny moments and wasn't a complete wash out.
This second film is an example of milking a cow dry, the jokes are roughly the same and some of it was not funny.
But this wasn't…
The biggest disappointment of the year for me personally and most probably for others too.
This started off one hella of a train wreck from start to finish. The movie was only interested in the last 20mins or so.
Every person has a favourite action hero of theirs and it is great to see who comes back.
I was a bit worried having Gibson involved playing the bad guy and I hate being right. Van Damme was 100 times better…
"I AM GROOT"
Let me explain.....
Marvel had balls of steel to try something different with new characters and a new story throwing in a mix of comedy.
You know what!
Everything works so well and now Marvel have another ball in the court.
Are we going to have a trilogy of every famous character like they did for Iron Man, Captain America etc. I would love to see Rocket Raccoon's story fighting good and evil with Groot.
How I would love to grab a Deloren time machine load it up with a copy of this film on old cine film. Go back to 1970 and grab Charlton Heston, Roddy McDowall and Kim Hunter and than place them in a cinema and play this film. I would be filming their faces throughout because I am pretty sure they will think apes do talk in the future.
Yes the story is a bit weak but this is a continuation…
Soon as it starts I could tell this is going to be one of those cheap corny films that is not going to make sense (until the end).
Got to give it credit though because it keeps you wondering what the hell is happening.
Maybe Morpheus was captured later on in the late future and tapped back into The Matrix but with only a small bubble ship. We did tend to get the odd slow-mo bullet time action too...hmmmmmmm!!!!!
It wasn't the best of films and at times very dodgy directing throughout.
Did I actually watch a new Tom Cruise that I could watch again, again, again and again. Well, maybe passing some alien blood through my veins I just might!!! Just injected some into my arm so I have to write this review quickly.
Not knocking TC but it is about time we get an enjoyable movie forgetting he is actually TC.
Lots of people mentioning this is like Groundhog Day and I have to agree. But if I have to choose…
Brilliantly acted from start to finish but the movie itself felt a tiny bit disjointed in places.
It was great to see Don Johnson in a cool tough role alongside Sam Shepherd and having Michael C Hall playing lead role is always a great pleasure.
Instead of making the story predictable they made events unexpectedly change throughout the movie. Shame as the first 30mins were very well done.
Overall a solid hard beat of a movie which is worth watching once.
Typical satire from David Cronenberg but this one I couldn't get into at all. In fact felt myself dozing around the 1st half and by the next 30mins I nodded off. Very unlike me but it wasn't working out for me at all. Julianne Moore stole the show with an outstanding performance giving the only thing I can give credit of the movie due to falling aszzzzzzzzz... . . . . . .zzz .z
An economic collapse which could easily happen anywhere at the moment and turn people against each other trying to survive.
This could be penned as the new Mad Max due to the dusty, grimy, look and feel situated in the middle of nowhere.
Guy and Rob act their socks off in this movie which keeps you glued to the screen.
Guy worked with David Michod before in 'Animal Kingdom' and it was a perfect choice to choose Guy to play Eric.…
Give Bryan Singer a sequel to direct any day. He sure can pull the audience in from start to finish.
Be warned if you disappear to the toilet for 10mins you could be wondering what the hell is going on when you get back.
Or worse, you could be missing a awesome action scene, especially the kitchen scene which I will be playing over and over again when purchased on Blu Ray.
It was great to have some of the…
