This is the most absolutely unexpected piece of badass cinema I've seen in years. It has damn near everything you could want in a movie, beginning with our hero, the most badass cop in the land, singing and dancing his own theme song backed up by seemingly an entire city including a chorus of children. See Singham fall in love! See Singham destroy the FUCK out of police corruption! See one of the harshest and most deserved comeuppances in villain history! See the most over-the-top and amazing fight scenes this side of anything Hollywood has put out in recent years!
If i had to describe this movie without giving too much away, I would just tell you to imagine something like Hot Fuzz, but played a bit more straight, and on an absolutely epic (and trust me, I DESPISE the overuse of that word) scale. The only drawback is that the film runs around two and a half hours, but it absolutely breezes by with this being the best cop film since the heyday of the 80s. Thankfully, for those interested, the film is readily accessible to anyone who is familiar with Youtube, and I'm relatively certain that's almost everyone.
