Great performances from Washington and Kinnear. Thematically it's a little screwy, like it's trying to make several major points about race, gender and American politics but never quite nails any of them.
Batman has always been dark, morose, nearly suffocatingly heavy. Superman has always been the ying to his yang: still full of doubt and conflicted but optimistic and appealing to our brighter ideals.
