Truly impressive visual effects lift this movie above the usual affair.
While the story is rangy and plot elements do suffer, Spielberg clearly knows how to set up an entertaining spectacle.
I especially liked it's numerous homages to the original material whilst still being refreshingly charming in its own way.
Overall, a fun way to introduce Tintin to the kids.
