Once the bombastic thrills and suspense wore off after three repeat viewings, the film revealed itself to be a boring, uninvolving charade of a villain playing cat and mouse with with a fictional city's inhabitants, with no satisfying food for thought that stays with you other than Michael Caine stating "some people just want to watch the world burn," which I don't feel warrants another viewing of this extremely average film.
