Hate that I missed this during last year's award season; would have thoroughly celebrated its Oscar victories. Fell hopelessly in love with it almost from frame one. Gorgeous cinematography, wonderful concept that pays loving homage to classic Hollywood, and outstanding performances all around that aren't the least bit hampered by the central conceit. This is why I still have faith in modern cinema.
