Cheap and shoddy looking sequel to the really rather good Lake Placid,the CG croc is woeful and the characters act with all the sense of lobotomised rodents. I thought this sequel would have been bearable and the 3rd film would be where it gets really bad but there's an alarming jump in quality between this mess and the original. I may have to lobotomise myself before I watch the third one.

Looks nice but so,so dull.

Deliriously depraved mixture of gothic horror and modern gorefest that boasts brilliant effects work and impressively grim cinematography.

The relationship between the main characters and hints of their past keeps things interesting plot-wise,and there's some good acting from the whole cast.

Bit of a hidden gem this one.
