[5/9 Batman Marathon]
Batman Begins [2005]
It's pretty surreal to experience that after just watching the cartoony and absurd (not to mention crappy) "Batman & Robin", you watch the polar opposite. Not to mention the fact that it's the best Batman movie so far in the marathon. Nolan really gave a brilliant feel and reinvention to the franchise, one that it so desperately needed. Not to mention this was the cause of the new era of superhero movies. It's a brilliant movie. I appreciated this one a LOT more, despite watching it a few times years ago. Probably because I've experienced the shit and letdowns that previous Batman movies (which my childhood memories preciously upholded) had on me now rewatching it as an adult.
