The Great Gatsby 2013
The Great Gatsby is all very Baz Lurhmann. Great set design and costumes but missing something. Some of the CGI is laughable. The setup scenes of New York in the 20's look really shit. Don't even get me started on the 3D. It adds absolutely nothing to the the film. Pointless.
Di Caprio and Mulligan are pretty good but other than that I found very little I liked in this film.

2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
Every genre has that one film that sets the stage for all other films that come after it and in my opinion 2001 is that film for Sci-Fi. As you watch it and think about all the classic sci-fi films that came after it you can clearly see the influence 2001 had and continues to have on the genre.
