Being from Ireland I learned all about Bobby Sands in history class but to see it depicted this way is incredible. McQueen pulls no punches with the brutality faced by the prisoners.
The 17 minute scene with Sands and the Priest is brilliant. The camera never moves but the dialogue keeps you glued to the screen.
