Cape Fear 1991

Lee’s review:
Martin Scorsese's Cape Fear has always been a film that I've loved, but it wasn't until my seventh or eighth viewing tonight that I've noticed some notable flaws that I didn't on the previous viewings.
I'm not entirely sure on the performances mainly. De Niro is fantastic as always, but Nick Nolte doesn't provide the charisma and presence that the character desires and it really damages the films power. Gregory Peck in the original is a perfect example of this.
No matter my problems with the performances, the screenplay and even with the pacing in the early stages, it's a film I think that I will always love. And that theme music? Incredible.
