Just like the first one, this one is also more about Frankenstein than the monster. In this one, there aren't really any monster, he has become so good at putting a humanbeing together that they don't look like a monster. It takes off right after the last one and he takes a secret identity in another town as Dr. Stein. Yes what a Brilliant name, that way no one will never guess his true identity. He works as a doctor…
It seems like Hammer knew that they could never get away with making a remake of the Universal Frankenstein. So instead they took a little different approach, making the film more about Dr. Frankenstein than the monster. Peter Cushing is exellent in the role of Frankenstein and fun to see Christopher Lee as the creature strangling Peter Cushing, knowing that it will be the beginning of many other violent scenes between those two. This is a film I will definitely watch again and again.
