The most straightforward of Fulci's prime period horror films, Zombie is a classic gorefest which is compulsively rewatchable. Between Fabio Frizzi's propulsive score, Ian McCulloch's game lead performance, juicy effects by Gianetto De Rossi, and great set pieces involving a large splinter and a shark, Zombie is a rollicking gory good time.
