The Dark Knight 2008 ★★★★★

The superhero genre has had some pretty $hitty film adaptations in the past, Batman especially. But that all changed in 2005 when Batman Begins was released and the world saw just how a superhero movie should be. And in 2008 The Dark Knight took what Batman Begins did so well and ran with it, making it the greatest superhero adaptation ever.

How can I say that The Dark Knight is the greatest superhero film ever? Well, lets just take a look at the movie for a second and what it accomplished. For starters, it was not only nominated for eight Oscars, but it won two of them - including Heath Ledger’s posthumous award for Best Supporting Actor.
