As cold and detached as the book. You learn nothing about R-Patz's acting skills, but it is very 'Cronenberg' in style.

A couple of odd decisions late on knock it just off from a FIVE, but this is otherwise an exceptionally powerful film with the best performance to date from Williams. A couple of scenes a jaw-droppingly executed to devastating effect.
