    Dumb, unrealistic storyline.

  • Limitless 2011

Self-narration, witty flashbacks and dizzying cinematic visualizations are part of what made this film really enjoyable. While there were plenty of conflicts and adversaries, the lack of a true antagonist or crisis left the plot slightly discombobulated. That much aside, it's more than made up for in clever narration, dark, minor plot twists, a bit of an unresolved ending that is reminiscent of Inception’s, and a fun super-hero/genius feel to the entire film.

“Limitless” has a very appropriate title and is one of the best flicks I’ve seen in a while.

This movie gave me nightmares when I was a kid.

An unexpectedly dark story, where the director seemingly skipped over a bit of relationship development in order to make room for the dismal plot. I did enjoy the development of Ryan Gosling’s somewhat mysterious character, who is slowly revealed to be just as grim as the happenings that befall him.

This movie was really interesting, with a sort of conspiracy theory twist. A little slow and low-budget at times but all-in-all a very intriguing plot.

This is, by far, my favorite Bill Murray movie and one of my favorite movies of all time. If you haven't, you HAVE to see this movie, it's hilariously stupid.

I decided to watch this for the first time after Steve Jobs' passing. Interesting how a somewhat "boring" plotline was actually pretty interesting. I'm not sure the non-geek would view it similarly.

For the super-hero genre, this was a pretty decent and believable flick. The plot and characters were built really well and the lack of a typical happy ending left it slightly open-ended, which I liked. Visually, it was pretty rad and even though it had a few stereotypical "one-liner" punchlines, the dialogue was par at minimum.

The only thing that lacked was the development of the love relationship - it was there but the characters lacked "interaction time" to make me believe they were really falling in love.
